After the competition

The RoboDesigners team concluded its programming competition season at the University of Virginia ACM High School Programming Competition, held March 23, 2013. We performed very well at this tournament, placing 2nd out of 39 teams.

The first and third place teams came from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology; currently ranked second in the nation for STEM subjects by US News and World Report.

University of Virginia provided prizes for the first, second, and third place teams. For first place, each team member received a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. As the second place team, each of our four team members won an Arduino Uno and LCD display. The third place team won R/C helicopters.
