Eagle Project: VEX Workshop

Andrew, a RoboDesigners team member, recently completed his Eagle Scout service project by coordinating and leading a VEX Robotics workshop for Lynchburg area VEX teams. We had many groups represented, including a community team, multiple teams from Bedford County Public Schools, and even a team from Boy Scout Troop 155.  This workshop was held in two sessions, each approximately 5 hours long; one on Saturday, January 12 and another on the following Saturday (January 19th).

The workshop helped these teams prepare for the Liberty University VRC Regional.  We covered topics ranging from team management and scheduling to robot construction techniques, and from tournament day events to programming autonomous and teleoperated robots.

We received very positive feedback from workshop attendees; we were informed that due this workshop, four more teams participated in the competition.
